Chuck Howard & Brad Allen Option "Lukewarm" Dec 29, 2011
Chuck Howard & Brad Allen with All Entertainment discovered "Lukewarm" on InkTip and optioned it from the writers Sean Stearley and Chris Miller. And we're now happy to announce that the feature film has been shot and is now in post-production. It was directed by Thomas Makowski, with John Schneider (Bo Duke of "Dukes of Hazzard" fame) in the lead role, and scheduled to air on the Gospel Music Channel in 2012. Writers Sean and Chris have both written and directed features before, independently of each other, and have since teamed up to write a slew of new faith-based projects together.

David, with his producing partner Georgia Hilton of Hilton Media Management LLC, recently signed a distribution deal for "Hollywood Hit" with Freestyle Releasing (distributors of "The Illusionist" starring Edward Norton, Paul Giamatti, and Jessica Beil, among many others) based on the strength of the script alone. And we're now excited to announce that they're in the process of looking for an A-list director and talent to attach. Since signing with Freestyle, David and Georgia have upped their budget from $5 million to $20 million. Lynn Grant Beck, a published and produced author, playwright and screenwriter, was thrilled to be working with David, and we here at InkTip are really looking forward to seeing "Hollywood Hit" in theaters.

He previously sold "Treading Water" this spring. "Interrogation" was an Honorable Mention in the October 2010 MoviePoet.com short screenplay contest. Samuel Laseke was impressed with the script, and Zachary was equally impressed with Samuel's previous films. Heydon's credits include "Irvine Welsh's Ecstasy," which was based on the book by the author of "Trainspotting," and which will be released in the U.S .in 2012, as well as the upcoming "Deadlocked," a BBC/Lionsgate co-pro with Helen Mirren attached in the lead role. Shawn Whitney, an executive story consultant for a Montreal-based production company, wrote the soon-to-be-released MOW "Fatal Performance," and he has a number of other films underway, but this is his first option through InkTip.

This isn't their first project together; Nasser's credits include "Dawn Rider," onto which Evan Jacobs was hired as a creative consultant and which is filming now with Donald Sutherland and Christian Slater in the lead roles, and "Knockout," starring WWE legend "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, which was shot from the Evan Jacobs script which Nasser originally discovered on InkTip. According to Joe Nasser, who has produced over forty feature films, Evan Jacobs is "one of the best writers I have ever worked with."

Gato Scatena was a consulting producer on "Kill Katie Malone," which starred Dean Cain and Masiela Lusha and which was also shot from a script found on InkTip. Both Scatena and Rosner are associate producers on Jerrol LeBaron's upcoming "Fools on the Hill." And Brian Young has a number of feature and MOW writing credits to his resume, with four more films going into production during the next four months alone.

Tribble and Wingo's credits include "Coffin" with Kevin Sorbo, Bruce Davison and Sunny Doench, which they wrote, directed and starred in. Coffin had a limited theatrical release in October and will be released on DVD later this year in the US through Artist View Entertainment.

Producer Carl Rock optioned the short script "No Playground for Little Kids" from writer Dave Larsen after finding it on InkTip and is now in post-production with the film. After a five month development process and intense pre-production phase, Carl shot the film over spring break in only five days as the principle cast were eight and 12-year-old restricted to holiday shoots. The short was shot on location in greater London at Black Park, Pinewood Studios and Ashlyn's School. The short will be entered into the international festival circuit. Carl is a writer/direct based in London who is seeking representation. He has two features in development and is working on another short with Dave. This is Dave's first sale of a short.

Little Studio Films discovered Karen Buckton on InkTip two years ago and now will be producing her psychological short thriller, "Pluripotent," with an eye towards expanding it into a feature film. Principal photography is set for beginning of February 2011 in Los Angeles. Director and cast will be announced soon. Karen will be co-producing the film. This is not her first success, as she has been hired as a writer with Central Station Media for a short called "66," and her short speculative script "Surrogate Gran" is due for production next year with New Image Entertainment.
