UK based scribe BJ Malone has obtained a writing assignment on an untitled Sci-Fi project for Tom Berry of LA based Reel One Entertainment. Roma Roth of Reel World Management found BJ on our site when scouting for literary talent. Roma then introduced BJ to Tom and thereby secured a writing assignment for BJ. Reel World Management is owned by managing partner and president, Roma Roth ('Viva Los Nowhere', 'One Last Dance'). Reel One Entertainment is headed by Tom Berry ('Screamers', 'The Assignment'). Reel One Entertainment executive produces 8-10 films per year and is a partner in the foreign sales company, Imagination Worldwide, with its chairman, Pierre David. In addition to gaining representation and a writing assignment, BJ recently optioned another script to a UK based production company (not through InkTip).

Stephen Manuel has optioned the comedy script 'Lucky Teeter' by Jason Allen, which was found through our network. Stephen Manuel is an independent director based in Germany with numerous credits in international TV, film, commercials and short films. Last January, 'Lucky Teeter' won first place in the Tennessee Screenwriting Association National Screenplay Contest. This is his fourth script optioned in the past two years, and two of those option deals came by way of our network.

Sheldon Brigman of Brigman-Vergos Productions has optioned Bart Clithero's screenplay 'Five Days', which he discovered while scouting InkTip.com. Sheldon (a former development executive turned producer) and his partner Bill Vergos just set up a feature with Cheyenne (Arnold Rifkin & Bruce Willis' company) and Beacon Pictures. Bill recently produced an indie feature starring Maria Menounos, who is set to join the cast of Fox's 'The Fantastic Four'. They'll be going out to the studios with the project and a few others in the first quarter of 2005. This is Bart's 3rd screenplay optioned in the last 10 months.

After seeing some of Kraig's scripts on InkTip.com, studio exec Michael Southerly hired Kraig Wenman to rewrite a supernatural horror script called 'The Night'. Kraig is doing quite well. In the last 18 months, he has had 8 scripts optioned (most through InkTip). Frank Reilly sold his short, 'The Patron', to Pamela Wei Endrina of Red Tiger Films and is in pre-production in San Francisco with Australian Wendy Nye set to direct. Paul has produced/executive produced more than 20 shorts. 14 of these award winning short films were sold to all the international territories, screened at numerous festivals and a number of them made it to Cannes and Sundance. (Production Executives) member who has originally developed several features, such as 'Find Me Guilty' and 'The U.S. Postal Inspectors' (running on Showtime), is president of MFD Entertainment, LLC, and Jim O'Rear is president of Underground Entertainment. Aghi is an independent producer/manager with a deal at Catch 23 Entertainment ('One Hour Photo'). Prior to that she was at MBST Entertainment for 7 years as a development exec and worked on 'Krippendorf's Tribe' and 'Super Dave, The Movie'. Arclight Productions has purchased the short screenplay 'Fade Out' from writer Brian Young. The film is slated for production later this year with Arclight principal Steven Kochones set to direct. Steven is a producer/director of non-fiction programs whose work has been honored with eight international awards, including the prestigious CINE Golden Eagle. He recently produced 'Anatomy of A working Stiff' for HBO, which takes viewers behind the scenes of the acclaimed series 'Six Feet Under'. Ann-Marie McHugh has purchased the short 'Departures' by Annalisa Hounsome. Ann-Marie is a NYC based director and producer, who won an Emmy for her documentary work about artists and musicians in Chicago for PBS. Her other film credits include 'The Ladies Room' and 'The Insomniac'. Annalisa and her writing partner previously optioned a feature film, which was a Nicholl Fellowship quarterfinalist. They are currently commissioned to write two feature scripts and have also written on commission for children's TV, the theatre and radio.

Little Studio Films has optioned the thriller screenplay 'Rehabilitation' from screenwriter Angela Anagnostopoulos. Casting is in progress and the project is scheduled to go into pre-production on March 15th. Director Jim Becket, who recently directed the film 'Junior Pilot' for Green Entertainment (starring Mark Dacascos), is attached. 'Rehabilitation', a thriller in the vein of 'Black Widow', is about a deranged young woman who, under various assumed identities, checks herself into rehab centers of the rich and famous by faking drug addictions only to marry a variety of tycoons, rock-stars and trust fund men and then disposing of them through a drug overdose. Little Studio Films will handle the film's distribution representation. Little Studio Films recently produced and co executive produced the feature 'The Drone Virus' (www.dronevirusthemovie.com), a medical/high tech thriller directed by newcomer Damon O'Steen and starring Billy Wirth, Maeve Quinlan, Michael Ensign, Adrian Zmed, Barbara Niven and Philip Boyd.
