Six-year-old Ethan claims something lives beneath his bed and only moves when adults aren't watching. Hoping to prove it imaginary, his parents install lights and cameras, but the presence begins adapting, spreading beyond the bedroom as observation makes it stronger. While the house subtly changes, Ethan grows calmer, revealing he's been teaching it how to belong. By the time his parents understand the rules, the entity no longer needs the bedand neither does Ethan.
