Getting the right script into your hands.
SINGER SEZ SCRIPTS
SINGER SEZ wants you to submit scripts that Industry Professionals want to read.

While I believe that the writer needs to have the final say in their script; I also believe that as the writer you can get too close to see what needs to be fixed.

We're offering to work with you as that extra pair of OBJECTIVE eyes, to see:

Whether your story loses focus -

Whether you've gotten caught up in unnecessary plot complications -

Whether your action and character serves the theme -

Whether you've rid yourself of useless side issues, widows, and orphans -

Whether you clearly convey to the reader what your story is about -

-- and countless other pitfalls that writers, both beginners and professionals fall prey to.

I've been working in the industry for 15 years; until the last few years in exclusive partnership with screenwriter and director Neal Marshall Stevens and producer David Greathouse, working on projects from initial concept through the process to the final product as manager and producer.

In recent years, I've expanded my business to take on additional writers.

WHAT I WILL DO FOR YOU:

If I agree to work with you, I will provide comprehensive page notes for your script, and will also, if you wish, have a follow-up phone conference in which we can discuss your screenplay and in which I will answer your specific questions and address your concerns.

WHAT I CANNOT DO FOR YOU:
I cannot promise to take you on as a client, to produce your material, to place you or your material with an agent, another manager, or a producer, or guarantee in any way that your work will sell.

What I do promise is that, if you are willing to invest the time and effort, to work with you until your script is in the best shape it can be, and so give the best shot you can have to promote your work and yourself to the industry.

Writers Comments:

Martin McSweeney, Two Weeks in June; Living for Tomorrow writes:

I just wanted to thank you for all your help this year. I think it was in April or May that we started working on my screenplay, Living For Yesterday. I thought the screenplay was close to complete until I received your input after your read through. Your insights on structure, character and especially your proof reading skills were amazing. I genuinely believe that because of your input, this screenplay is 100% better than when we started the process.

Also, on a related note, your review of my novel and advice given, again around structure, grammar etc., was a real help to me. Sometimes it's hard when you're so close to something to see the wood from the trees. Having someone like you who can stand back and assess independently and give a fresh opinion, is a great asset to any writer.

Mark Daniels-Out of Sequence writes:

Judith provides a friendly and thorough editing of material. She works with you to improve your work and make it the most marketable.

Thanks for all you do.

Neal Marshall Stevens - Thirteen Ghosts; Hellraiser: Deader writes:

Judith has been instrumental in my professional success as a writer. Her story sense and eye for detail has made her an invaluable creative partner. She is the first person to read any draft of a screenplay that I write and no draft goes to the studio without a final check by her.

David Greathouse- Producer writes:

"Judith always impresses me with her ability to pinpoint areas in a
story that are in need of strengthening and how best to address those
areas so the script is as satisfying as it can be. She is a terrific
partner to have through out the development process".

Fees:

My fee is $75 per hour. Prices remain the same from first draft through final product.
